$10,000 Music Career Fundamentals They won't tell new Artists but I will!

All artists want a successful music career but they lack systems to make it happen. Many feel like things should be executed freely and left up to the wind as their career falls magically in place. However, I know this is just lofty thinking and many are fooled by it. So, if you want to get out of your head and into the game to get this money tune in!

First, we have to get funded

The biggest problem in the music industry is that new artists don't have an affordable funding source that can provide continuous leverage. Affordability is key for consistent growth. While many choose to work a job to pay for everything, it's better to secure funding to keep some of your hard-earned money in your pocket. A funding source gives you the opportunity to quit your job sooner and focus on music full-time—provided your music is good enough. However, avoiding funding will limit your experience in dealing with bigger lenders down the road. Remember, you must develop the skills to handle $10,000 before you can manage $100K or $1M, otherwise, the money will slip right out of your hands and back to the source.

Music Career Systems and Structure

To succeed in this business—regardless of how much money you have—you need systems and structures. These ensure you operate efficiently, manage time well, utilize resources effectively, and optimize your visibility. Without these fundamentals, failure is almost guaranteed—99.9% of the time, this is the root cause. While you won't have everything perfect from day one, it's crucial to work toward building these systems. Failing without these practices in place is especially painful because outsiders won't understand why you failed, and they'll keep asking why you stopped pursuing your goals. It's a major blow to the ego.

Marketing strategy

The top mistake artists and managers make in marketing is not developing a strategy first. They need to answer crucial questions: Which market are we targeting? When do we enter? What results are we seeking? Which marketing methods will we use to achieve our campaign goals (advertising, promotion, publicity, public relations, sales)? When do we conclude the campaign? It's a lot to consider, but getting this planning phase right will give you more focus and reduce the chances of standing around later wondering what went wrong.

I don't have access to funding! How do I get it!

You actually have access to funding—you just don't know how to use it. Many people who have completed my 60 Day Record Label System have secured funding for their labels, and now through our funding partners, you have access to more affordable financing options. Use the 60 Day Record Course Systems to get started or join the music money makers community. The best way to secure funding is by having an LLC for your business (or for those overseas, a LTD or LP).

How do you build systems?

Create a checklist of steps to do in order so anybody can do it. Just like my 60 Day Record Label system. It has to be tight so you can delegate the task to anyone once you get enough of these systems in place you can bring on an intern and pay them a stipend to help out! You also must create some for your self too!

Do I need a marketing strategy if I am just starting out

You always need a strategy. In many cases, everyone creates one but the one thing they fail to do is plug all the holes that may leak funds and devise an exit plan so they don’t get sucked into doing more than they signed up for. The market can be very hypnotizing if you don’t play your cards right.

Here’s what you can do!

Build a budget with 70% cash and 30% credit and get the credit from the 60 Day Record Label course or Music Money Makers Community

Build your first strategy with entry and exit points after securing the target goal.

Develop a system to get it done with ease instead of winging it.

What the horizon looks like

  1. Money will begin to flow in turning to immense cash flow

  2. More cash flow will equal more opportunities to grow

  3. More opportunities to grow will get you closer to your goal for doing this in the first place.

Getting stuck in the rearview mirror

  1. Is going to cost you a lot more physical energy doing unorganized work

  2. Costing you drive and mental health.

  3. Which makes you start second-guessing the entire process!

At the End of the Day

If you were struggling with:

  1. Funding

  2. Systems

  3. Strategy

You now have the means to become the goal oriented artist or team you’ve always wanted to be.
